Sobre este artículo

London: Victor Gollancz Ltd, 1955. No marks or inscriptions. No creasing to covers or to spine. A very clean very tight copy with bright unmarked boards, slightly foxed, slightly dusty page edges and no bumping to corners. Dust jacket not price clipped but with pieces missing to front, rear and spine. 255pp. The story of the Altmark, the secret supply ship of the Nazi pocket battleship the Graf Spee and the many British ships sunk by the Graf Spee. Eventually the Graf Spee was cornered - the Battle of the River Plate - and the Altmark, now alone, was instructed to return home - packed with British prisoners. She eventually reached neutral Norwegian waters from where 300 British prisoners were rescued.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good/Fair. 8.75 x 5.75 inches.

Sobre Godley Books

We have been selling mainly non-fiction books for over 20 years and now have a very varied stock of around 10,000 books. As not all are yet online, please ask us for your search items as we may have the book you are seeking waiting to be catalogued. Our delivery company Royal Mail has twice increased overseas prices during 2020, in particular to the USA, so our shipping rates have been amended to reflect this.
