Buffalo: Berger Publishing Company, 1907. Hardcover. 16mo. Pale blue pictorial paper over boards. (12pp). Color frontispiece, chromolithographs, decorations and decorative borders, rubricated capital letters. Very good. Binding a bit rubbed and slightly edgeworn, though internally fine. A tight and attractive first of this illustrated edition, an elaborate production done in a pseudo illuminated manuscript style, of the best known hymn by the short-lived English poet (1805-48) -- long believed (erroneously) to be the tune played by the Titanic's eight-piece orchestra as the ship sank in 1912. A lovely copy.

This would be a wonderful book for the younger folk, giving them a touch of history. This small in-color illustrated book Along with color pictures, is just the short book. To the point & from a 1700's 'tone' of voice. Reported & published by Raphael Tuck & sons. Nice fancy book with scalloped & embellishments, it is a fine book to own.
