First edition. 8vo; 192pp; brown cloth over board, pictorial front board featuring a house on a hill; front pastedown has ownership for School District No. 1, Laramie County; color pictorial title page; color illustrations throughout with text; shelf wear and light soiling, orange crayon mark on rear pastedown; very good. A child's reader for an older elementary grade. The Alice and Jerry Series of readers were published from the 1930s into the 1960s. The stories follow the siblings, Alice and Jerry, along with their dog Jip.
