Hardback, 1883, third edition, with frontispiece, published by Seeley, Jackson, and Halliday, London, 443 pages + viii.
Octavo/8vo, measures around 7 1/2" by 5 3/8" by 1 1/4". Dark green cloth binding, gilt lettering and gilt and black pictorial detail and design to front board and spine. Marking and scuffing to binding. Signs of wear, much rubbing at edges and on hinges, tearing to head and tail of spine and to bumped corners. Book has slight forward tilt. Some cracking to front inner hinge, some slackness to binding though contents reasonably firm. Page edges browned, scuffed and a bit marked. Some marking to endpapers, gift inscription to verso of second front free endpaper. Some marking to page surfaces but no underlining, marginalia, etc. See pictures for further information.
