Sobre este artículo

West Bloomfield, MI: Phantasia Press, 1986. First edition thus. Hardcover. Fine/Fine. The first US hardbound edition of William Gibson's debut novel, a cyberpunk classic that won both the Nebula and Hugo awards as a paperback original in 1984. This edition includes a new, two-page introduction by the author that was published for the first time here. The UK edition, published by Gollancz, was the first hardcover edition, and it has become one of the most sought-after SF titles of the 1980s.

This very attractive edition from Phantasia Press (IMHO, they put out the nicest limited editions of the era), is bound in undyed cloth, with metallic paper endpapers, and a dust jacket with wrap-around art by Barclay Shaw stamped in bronze metallic ink. There were just 375 numbered copies signed by William Gibson on a sheet tipped-in at the back of the book (plus a trade issue of 1200 unsigned hardcovers). For a limited edition of such a key book, that's a relatively small number of copies. First US hardcover edition (first printing). A fine copy in a fine dust jacket and slipcase. The slipcase, bound in the same light-colored cloth as the book, is still fresh and clean. A beautiful copy. This is number 40 of 375 signed copies.

Sinopsis

Neuromancer is a 1984 novel by William Gibson, notable for being the most famous early cyberpunk novel and winner of the science-fiction "triple crown"—the Nebula Award, the Philip K. Dick Award, and the Hugo Award. It was Gibson's first novel and the beginning of the Sprawl trilogy. The novel tells the story of a washed-up computer hacker hired by a mysterious employer to work on the ultimate hack.
