NY: Liebler & Maass Lith. Co., c.1910. A large color lithograph of two young boys. One boy consoles the other, who carries an armload of unsold newspapers. The image was used by the New York Tribune on an advertising poster with the caption: "Never Mind Chimmie, Termorrer Yer Sells DE TRIBUNE And Yer Don't Get Stuck, See!". Matted & framed, with glass. This poster image measures about 20 x 28 inches, in a frame measuring 23.5 x 31 inches. The printer's imprint is at the lower right. The artist is unknown, the signature (possibly "Del") is at the lower left. This image is copied from the popular painting by Marie (Mizzi) Wunsch (1862-1898), who was a Viennese genre painter. The image and its caption were used to advertize a number of different newspapers in the late 19th century. Information on this print is from the Museum of the City of New York. A scarce poster.
