No date given, but believe it to be from the 1930s given the publisher. No dust jacket, unsure if as issued. Cover has wear, tanning, and staining. The spine is very dark from handling, and the lettering has faded to the point of almost being unreadable. No stickers/residue on the outside. On the inside front cover, there is a large ex libris bookplate. Tanning and foxing is present, and is quite heavy in places. A red ribbon bookmark is present, but not attached to the book any longer -- it has broken and become brittle. It also caused heavier tanning. The binding is loose and fragile. The pages are secure, but do feel fragile as well. Not a pretty copy, not a good reading copy, but very rare. Nonsmoking environment. Will ship with signature confirmation.
Sinopsis
New Arabian Nights by Robert Louis Stevenson, first published in 1882, is a collection of short stories previously published in magazines between 1877 and 1880. The collection contains Stevenson's first published fiction, and a few of the stories are considered by some critics to be his best work, as well as pioneering works in the English short story tradition.
