The remainder were translated by Jonathan Scott at the beginning of the present century, the first from an Indian and the remainder from a Syrian Manuscript". Collects "Adventures of Zaher of Damascus and his Son Ali" + "Joodar of Cairo and Mahmood of Tunis" + "Story of the Labourer and the Flying Chair" + "Story of Mazin of Khorassan" + "Abu Neut and Abu Neuteen" + "The Fisherman's Son". Green cloth over bevelled boards, gold gilt lettering and design/decorations stamped in blind/colored in a blackish maroon, 390 pages plus 6 pages of undated ads at the rear, illustrated with black-and-white plates. Reading/filler copy [spine cocked and worn/frayed at the ends and less so to the edges, corners bumped and frayed, fraying to the bottom board edges, front hinge cracking, rear hinge starting, foxing to the first and last several pages, lower right corner dampstaining to the front portion of the book, page edges tanned. bx266
