Spine lettering and design faded. Light to moderate soiling to the boards. Previous owner's neat signature on a front end paper and title page. Rear blank end papers contain 3 old, hand-written recipes. Light scattered foxing. A Good copy. ***Mrs. Hale wrote many volumes of poetry, was an editor of Godey's Lady's Book, was instrumental in establishing Thanksgiving as a National Holiday, and is probably best remembered as the author of "Mary had a Little Lamb". ***.
