Color pastedown of girl posing on front cover, within green-and-gilt frame; additional green and gilt decoration on front cover. Sample gilt-stamped spine title on back cover. This is a salesman's sample or publisher's dummy. It contains the title page and table of contents, along with samples of the photographic illustrations of children posing in costumes, in-text line drawings, poetry for recitations, and songs with music. Final 8 pages are lined pages for information on subscribers. The first page contains four names in pencil with subscription and dates. The author Maude M. jackson, was the originator and director of entertainments in the public schools of Chicago. In Very Good Condition: cover is lightly soiled; corners are rubbed; cover pastedown is rubbed, with one small chip at edge; internally clean and tight.
