A compilation of four previously published volumes under one cover: The House, 1859, 176 pages; The Garden, 1858, 166 pages; The Farm, 1858, 156 pages; and Domestic Animals, 1858, 163 pages. Cover, edges and corners heavily worn. Spine partially rebacked with old cloth laid over new. Gilt spine lettering fading, but easily read. Cloth chips along front hinges. Owner's name stamped inside. Back inner hinge reglued. Most pages are relatively clean, but a significant number do have light or moderate soiling. Despite problems, binding remains sound. Each volume illustrated with line drawings and separately indexed.
