London: William Mackenzie, 1864. Book. Very Good. Half Leather. First Edition. 4to (18 x 25cm). No Date [but 1864/1875] pp. 988. Colour frontispiece (chromolithograph), 26 further finely printed coloured (chromolithograph) plates heightened by hand with gum arabic including five superb double plates 4 of which depict orchids, 12 further b/w plates, some of which double (14 of the colour plates are of various fruit). Attractive contemporary half dark brown calf binding with dark blue cloth boards, 5 raised bands to spine with simple gilt decoration, red spine label. Binding very good with slight genearl wear and a little light rubbing. Contents clean and tight, minimal spotting otherwise unmarked, plates clean and bright, a couple with minimal spotting, no inscriptions. A very good tight copy in an attractive binding with the full complement of plates..
