New York: Leslie's Weekly, 1907. Otherwise very good condition. A double page spread of early printed b & w photographs of the areas to be flooded by the Ashokan Reservoir, and comparing the 'colossal task' to larger than the digging of the Panama Canal. The Reservoir was constructed between 1907-1915 and caused the relocation of many businesses, families, schools, churches. From Leslie's Weekly, a 19th century American newspaper founded in 1852 and published until 1922. 11 photos of the reservoir site, buildings etc. before flooding and 1 of the water supply of Birmingham, England. Approximately 16 3/4 x 22", center fold with original staple holes.
