London: The Home Library Book Company, 1111. Hardcover. Very Good/No Jacket. Not dated - believed to be early 1920s. Edition and printing not known. In good plus brown cloth boards, blind stamped decoration to front with gilt ruled lines and gilt urn and book vignette with gilt titles. The boards have collapsed hollow from damage to hinge and a little loose from page block; unmarked and flat; spine ends bumped. Clean end papers with brown and white swirl-pattern; the centre of front end papers show webbing from spine. The rear paste down has a folding colour model of a bee with five colour plates with internal views. These pages are slightly tanned. Slightly age-toned cut edges. The text block is in very good minus condition with firm, flat pages, some lightly foxed and marked. With four colour plates (including frontispiece) and many b/w photos. No dedications etc. W Without jacket. Heavy. Please contact us for cost of postage if shipping outside the UK.

Clevedon Community Bookshop, co-operatively owned, opened on 31 December 2011 and now has a general stock of approximately 20,000 books. Our bookshop in Copse Road is open Tuesday to Sunday from 11.00am to 4.00pm. The co-operative comprises just over 600 members from around the world and was set up to stop the only second-hand bookshop in our town from closing. The benefit of being a member/shareholder is only social: no-one benefits financially. All profits are used to improve the bookshop and its stock, and, through events, to contribute to the literacy and literary profile of our town. The Bookshop Manager has fifteen years' experience in second-hand bookselling. Email us if you would like to join our co-operative and thus jointly own our bookshop with us.
