SIGNED by author on dedication page, with a personal inscription dated 1949, signed only Theodora. No edition stated. No additional printings listed. Hardcover has tan cloth-covered boards with black spine and cover lettering. Map endpapers. Black and white photographs and illustrations. High-quality glossy paper. 157 pages. First section of pages is a little loose from the binding. Hinges NOT cracked. Spine ends lightly bumped. Small white stain on the front cover near the bottom. Endpapers darkened from news clippings stored between them for a long time. Small address label and notation on bottom of rear free endpaper. Pages clean and unmarked. Jacket has tattered spine and edges, with minor losses, as well as several tears, stains, and soiling. Jacket has old tape repairs on interior and is in a removable clear plastic cover. Dust jacket is NOT price clipped, showing original price of $2.50. Carefully packed, shipped in a box.
