Sobre este artículo

London, England: London, UK: Holden and Hardingham, 1921, 1st Cheap and 1st Abridged edition, First Printing, 1921. ------------( 1st printing of this Edition ) ---hardcover, about 5w x 7.5h inches, a solid Good to Very Good example, front blank endpaper has been removed, a bit of rubbing to boards, some browning to the paper, ---in a very attractive Good to Very Good dustjacket, light wear and a bit of some shallow chipping, super William Otway McCannell cover art, all of the early WHH books are scarce, this is the 1st Cheap edition and the 1st Abridged Edition, WHH is great but The Night Land is a very tough read ( I speak from experience having read the unabridged version) and is very much more accesible in the abridged version, ---a very nice example of a truly rare book especially in the dustjacket, any image directly beside this listing is the actual book and not a generic photo ///NOT SIGNED ---GUARANTEED to be AVAILABLE///---sizes are approximate (generally within 1/8 inch)---. First Edition. Hard Cover. Good (see description)/Very Good (see description). Illus. by William Otway McCannell Cover Art . 5w x 7.5h Inches. Flap Not Clipped.

Sinopsis

The Night Land is a classic horror novel by William Hope Hodgson, first published in 1912. As a work of fantasy it belongs to the Dying Earth subgenre. Hodgson also published a much shorter version of the novel, entitled The Dream of X. The importance of The Night Land was recognized by its later revival in paperback by Ballantine Books, which republished the work in two parts as the forty-ninth and fiftieth volumes of its celebrated Ballantine Adult Fantasy series in July, 1972.
