New York: Red Dust, 1992. Paperback. 32p. paperback, 5.5x8.25 inches, very good. Alexander was born in Allahabad, India and raised in Kerala and Sudan. She received her PhD from Nottingham University and later moved to New York City, where she taught English at the Graduate Center/Hunter College until her passing in 2018. Alexander was the recipient of numerous awards, and The Statesman called her "undoubtedly one of the finest poets of contemporary times.
