Sobre este artículo

London: Victor Gollancz, 1946. Cloth. Very Good Indeed/Very Good Indeed. 7.5" by 5". Not Stated. A very smart copy of one of Dorothy Sayers' most celebrated novels featuring recurring character Lord Peter Wimsey, enclosed in the original bright dust wrapper. The sixteenth impression of crime writer and poet Dorothy L. Sayers's classic mystery novel.Set in the Lincolnshire Fens, the novel follows a group of bell-ringers at the local parish church. Widely considered her best work and finest literary achievement, the novel has received minor criticism regarding inaccurate campanology details. Sayers was a prolific author of crime fiction during the Golden Age of Detective Fiction, and one of the 'Queens of Crime', alongside notable others such as Agatha Christie and Ngaio Marsh.A very smart copy of one of Sayers' finest literary achievements. In the publisher's original cloth binding. Externally, very smart, with just minor shelf wear and light fading to the spine. Original unclipped dust wrapper is bright, with just some light edgewear, and light sunning to the backstrip and extremities. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean. Very Good Indeed

Sinopsis

The Nine Tailors is Dorothy L. Sayers's finest mystery, featuring Lord Peter Whimsey, and a classic of the genre.   The nine tellerstrokes from the belfry of an ancient country church toll out the death of an unknown man and call the famous Lord Peter Whimsey to investigate the good and evil that lurks in every person. Steeped in the atmosphere of a quiet parish in the strange, flat fen-country of East Anglia, this is a tale of suspense, character, and mood by an author critics and readers rate as one of the great masters of the mystery novel.
