[circa1930s].. Japanese woodblock print on fine paper tipped onto thin card 24.3 x 35.8 cms; 29.8 x 40.8 cms (with mount), descriptive text in English and Japanese tipped to the verso, scant foxing mainly affecting the mount, overall very good condition. A finely designed image, richly coloured and embossed, artist's chop at lower right. The text on verso gives a brief history of Noh drama, and recounts the story of this popular Noh play. From a series depicting a Noh play for each month of the year. .
