Humorous sketches by this Canadian political scientist and popular writer. With bookplate of lawyer Samuel A.B. Abbott (1846-1931), acting Librarian of the Boston Public Library. A pencil inscription on the front endpaper reads "Villa Aurelia," a reference to the American Academy in Rome.
