Sobre este artículo

London: Printers' Register Office, 1883. 1st Limited Edition . Good Plus. 8.5 x 10.5 inches (22 x 26.5 cm). Later brown cloth binding with gilt lettering to spine. Scuffing to rear board. Library labels and barcode to front endpaper. The title page is marked and lightly creased. It appears that library labels were at some point pasted to the title page - some remnants are still attached to the inner side of the page. Library stamp to the title page, library number to rear of title page - no other library stamps or markings within the book. There is an area of damage to the bottom right corner of the title page with an old repair - there is corresponding damage (with similar repairs) to a lessening degree to each of the following 5 leaves (pages affected are Preface, Index I and Index II) The Preface page also has a repaired 2 inch tear to the outside edge. The text has a couple of spots of foxing but is generally very clean throughout. All 24 plates are present and in excellent condition - there is foxing to the following plates: Plate I (small spot to margin); Pate XIII (small spot to rear of plate only); Plates XIV, XVI, XXI, XIII (A couple of small spots within engraving); Plate XIX (foxing to rear of plate showing through faintly); Plate XX (obvious foxing to plate); Plate XXIV (foxing to margin, a few spots to engraving. No inscription. Rare. Overall condition is Good Plus. Size: 8.5 x 10.5 inches (22 x 26.5 cm). Hardback. Printed pages: 4to. 144 + 24 plates
