Uber-scarce in the trade, published originally perhaps in 1798, there being currently no copies available on-line of this reprinted short treatise, which is translated into English from French as "Observations on the Distribution and Classification of the Books of a Library." Measures 8 1/2" x 10" in width and height, respectively. Disbound from a larger volume, hand-sewn, complete, but with some beginning separation at spine, with slightly waffly text, rag paper is lightly foxed here and there, else clean but with some penciled markings. French language text, with 643-666 pp. Appended is a separate leaf (pp. 675-676) of "Addition Aux Observation.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
