Full brown gilt-ruled leather handsomely rebacked, gilt lettering on spine, 8vo, 480 pp. In two parts, with separate title pages (Part Two dated 1795) but paginated continuously. Classic work by Haworth (1767-1833), British botanist and entomologist, fellow of the Linnean Society and member of the Entomological Society of London, and considered the foundation work for the study of the mesembryanthemums. Early owner's name bottom of half-title and title page for part one, no marks in book, binding tight. A clean, wide-margined copy. No foxing. Covers show minor wear to corners. Book condition VG. Uncommon.
