First Edition. 8vo, (21 cm). dec. blue cloth cover and spine, 45 pages : illustrations, Illustrated title page, very light wear at spine ends of d.j., d.j. is age toned, Issued in an illustrated book jacket with caption: "The Book Fair of A.D. 1537" "The Second National Book Fair was held at Rockefeller Center, New York City, November 5 to 21, 1937"--At end ("An appreciation") "The typography was suggested by Frederic W. Goudy, set at the Lanston Monotype Machine Co., Philadelphia, in Italian Old Style type designed by Mr. Goudy ... The illustrations were drawn by the author of the book, who also designed the jacket." We the Book Manufacturers' Institute are engaged in a solemn endeavor to bring to fruition this co-operation among the several groups whose labors go into the making of a book, and one of the most agreeable tasks afforded us during the course of a year is the planning and preparation of a volume to be distributed at the annual Book Fair, the provision of a work which thousands will read and cherish as a souvenir of a truly memorable event. -- Foreword..
