Eyre makes references biblical prophecies concerning the descendants of Abraham, whom he believes should occupy Palestine. With respect to the return of the Jews from the lands of their dispersion, Eyre quotes the Book of Ezekiel, which prophesies that the House of Israel would experience a resurrection from the 'graves' of the Diaspora.
