Early chapters dealing with astrology, phrenology, palmistry, magic and witchcraft are followed by material on scientific questions such as perpetual motion, the fourth dimension, and the finiteness (or otherwise) of space. It finishes with chapters on science, philosophy and religion and although clearly dated, particularly in those sections on science, still offer much of interest. The book's title was later changed to "Search After Truth". ... ... ... ...
