Paris: Chez l'Artiste, 1946. Limited edition. Good. Fontseré, Carles. 12mo. 14 unbound pages, laid into original cardboard folder covered by handmade wrappers decorated in orange and titled in black. Color frontispiece and 3 color lithographs by Carles Fontseré. Printed on handmade chiffon d'Auvergne. In the original paper-covered slipcase. Limited edition, this is number 99 of 110. Frontispiece signed by the artist in pencil. Preface in French by Jean Cassou; text in Catalan followed by French translation. Oda a Espanya, one of Maragall's most popular poems, appeared with 'Els adéus' and 'Cant del Retornas' as 'Els tres cants de la guerra' in Visions and Cants (1900). Illustrated by Catalan artist and photographer Carles Fontseré, best known for his Spanish Civil War posters. Good, wrappers toned with offsetting from wrappers to first and last pages; chipping and 1" piece of missing at middle of spine of wrapper and folder, age-toning and light rubbing to slipcase.
