Black-and-white illustrated cover, showing Charles Fourier, with black titles to the front panel and backstrip. Creasing to the book corners and to the backstrip region. The top backstrip edges have become somewhat frayed and a previous owner had placed tape, still in situ, to the top backstrip edge. Rubbing, marking, browning and some fading to the book panels and browning to the endpapers and internal text. Translated from the French by Kenneth White. A poem (printed boat in French and in English) by Andre Breton celebrating the life and achievements of the 17th century the Utopist Charles Fourier. First English Translation.
