New York: Redfield, 1855. First Edition. Hardcover. Very Good. 8vo. 2 volumes. Frontis portrait, viii, 374; vi, 383, 12p. ads. Volume 1 with tipped in ad at front endpaper advertising this set. Volume 1 & 2 with bookplate of R. W. Kirkham. Shallow horizontal piece of front endpaper of volume 2 missing at top edge. Brown cloth with borders to boards stamped in blind and gilt spines. Spines with light wear to head and heel of both volumes, corners also with light wear. Minimal foxing. Clean throughout, bindings tight and square. A nice set.
