Inscribed by the author on front pastedown: "To that other great traveller Miss Sherritt, whose recent dash into Mexico should also be embalmed in verse. - Andrew T. Thomspon, Ottawa : Jan. 17th, 1929." Privately printed. Andrew Thompson (1870-1938) was a Canadian lawyer and soldier (CO of the 114th 'Brock's Rangers' Battalion), Member of Parliament for Haldimand County and Adviser on Indian Affairs, and the author of a previous collection of poetry, The Canadian Knights Entertainment (1919).
