A complete two volume set of the works of Moliere. In the original French. First edition copies, with the first edition published in 1835 and the second in 1836. Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, or Moliere, was a French playwrigh,t actor and poet and a highly regarded writer in the French language. Some of the works that appear in the first volume are L'Etourdi and L'Ecole des Maris. Some of the works that appear in the second volume are are Le Medecin Malgre Lui and Le Tartufe, ou L'Imposteur.These volumes have vignettes by Tony Johannot which appear in the text. In half calf with marbled boards. Externally, smart with marks to the spines and boards. Front hinge is weak to volume ii and starting to volume i. Previous owner inscription to vol. i. With rubbing to the joints. Internally, firmly bound with bright and clean pages. Very Good

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
