London: S. W. Partridge & Co Ltd. n.d circa 1900 [British Library]. Quarto Size [approx 24cm x 30.5cm]. Very Good condition. Glazed pictorial boards with blue cloth spine. Corners a little rubbed and some light marking to boards, small red stain to lower front edge. Light abrasion to front pastedown - part erasure of previous owner's details - name still visible. Small tears to some of the lower pages edges have been professionally repaired. Offset to pages at centre - stain from a paper clipping of some kind. Black & white illustrations - both plates and in-text drawings.. Colour frontispiece. Unpaginated. One of the delightful features of this book is the number of advertisements included at the beginning and rear of the book, Quaker Oats, Chivers Table Jellies, Bird's Custard Powder etc. . 1st Edition. Hardback.
