Edward Maguire's letter of July 2, 1876, blaming Custer for the defeat. Maguire was Brig. Gen. Alfred Terry's engineering officer on the 1876 campaign and drew an important battlefield map after the Little Big Horn fighting. Second is Major Reno's letter to General Sheridan written in the field on July 4, 1876.
