New York: Harper & Brothers, 1904. Hardcover. Howard Pyle. 8vo. vii, 360 pp. Publisher's decorated cloth with gilt lettering to the spine. The corners and spine ends lightly bumped and the cloth lightly rubbed. Neat gift inscription dated 1904 on the front endpaper, with a small rubber ink bookseller's stamp to the lower inside edge. The binding slightly cocked, but tight throughout and the contents clean. With 16 illustrations in black and white by Howard Pyle. This being the corrected issue of the first edition.
