Number 16/150, signed by the artists. pp. xvii, [i], 211, [i]; xi, [i], 208 + 40 leaves of plates, and numerous illustrations in the text, japanese vellum blocked in gilt, a touch dusty and with a light half-ring stain to upper cover of volume one; booksellers ticket to front pastdown: R.D. Steedman, Newcastle-upon-Tyne. A poet and journalist, Leigh Hunt (1784-1859) was also a close friend of Shelley and Keats; his anecdotical history of Kensington was first published in 1855. This large-paper limited edition was illustrated and signed by the three artists concerned: Edmund Sullivan, Claude Shepperson and Herbert Railton. Book
