London: James Sangster and Co., 1870. This antique hardcover five-book set is bound in red cloth boards, with decorative gilt lettering on front and spines and etched decorative borders. All page edges are gilt. Some wear/fading to covers; occasional browning; most inner pages clean. The set includes "Old England: A Museum of Popular Antiquities" in two volumes; "The Arts and Industries of All Nations" in two volumes; and "Old England's Worthies." "Old England" and "Old England's Worthies" are pub. James Sangster & Co.; "Arts and Industries" are pub. J.G. Button and Co. No dates of publication appear in any volume; all are presumed to be circa 1870s. Each is filled with color and black-and-white plates and engravings, depicting scenes from life and art. Overall set condition is Fair to Good; edgewear, some browning, some soil. Bindings are generally tight but show some weakening here and there. Each is approx. 400 pages, 10"x13".. Hard Cover. Collectible-Good/No Jacket. Illus. by Illustrated. 10"x13".
