N.d. c.[ 1909]. 12mo, 18cm, 124p., with 16 tipped in colour plates including frontis & title-page, rear publisher's ads, a.e.g., in publishers full limp-leather, yapped edges, gilt decorated titles on the cover & spine, inc black stamped flora decorated border on the cover, some tanning to brown (as usual) on the binding, frontis re-hinged, still very good to fine copy (ho3.1). ~ An attractive edition of a Washington Irving classic. One of the Foulis "Elegant and Artistic Editions". Although not dated, a former owner's inscription is dated Christmas 1909. Charmingly illustrated in Dickensian style.
