Grape coloured boards with gilt coloured titles to the front panel and backstrip. Illustrated dustwrapper ( wraparound) with black and red coloured titles to the front panel and back strip. Memoirs of the author of Melbourne in its roaring days of the 19th century. First published in 1884. Rubbing of the book corners and softening of the back strip edges. Light browning of the text block edges and age toning of the pages. Some marks to the top text edge. Rubbing of the dustwrapper edges and panels. Sunning of the back strip with a 1 inch tear to the top right hand corner of the front panel. A few foxing spots can be seen to the panels and there is a little fading of the verso.
