Illustrated throughout with vignette and full plate illustrations.With a prize bookplate from Acock's Green Ladies College to the front pastedown, awarding this volume to Florence Harvey in 1888. In a signed full calf school prize binding, with gilt detailing to back strip. Fading to back strip and board perimeters. Front hinge starting, with board holding firm. Prize bookplate to front pastedown, binder's stamp to verso of front free endpaper. Internally, firmly bound. Pages clean and bright. Very Good
Sinopsis
Old Mortality is a novel by Sir Walter Scott set in the period 1679-89 in south west Scotland. It forms, along with The Black Dwarf, the 1st series of Scott's Tales of My Landlord. The two novels were published together in 1816. Old Mortality is considered one of Scott's best novels. It was originally titled The Tale of Old Mortality, but is generally shortened in most references.

Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
