Otherwise clean, with slight edge toning. A collection of twenty-one Russian folk tales, in English. Reprint of the 1916 first edition from T.C. & E.C. Jack.. Includes six full colour plates. .

Sinopsis

Old Peter's Russian Tales was first published in 1916. The stories in this book are those that Russian peasants tell their children and each other.  The tales include "The Tale of the Silver Saucer and the Transparent Apple," "The Fool of the World and the Flying Ship," "Prince Ivan, the witch baby, and the Little Sister of the Sun," "The Stolen Turnips, The Magic Tablecloth, The Sneezing Goat and The Wooden Whistle," "Little Master Misery," "Who Lived in the Skull ," and many more.
