Binding has remained firm. Corners are dogeared in places. Boards are a little rub worn with slight shelf wear to corners, spine and edges. Corners are a little bumped and spine ends are a mildly crushed. Tanning to spine and edges. Boards are bowed. Book has a forward lean. Water marks to boards and spine.

Minor issues present such as mild cracking, inscriptions, inserts, light foxing, tanning and thumb marking. Overall a good condition item. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some light marking and tanning.

Charles Scribner's Sons, 1938. Red hardcover cloth binding is clean, square and tight. Gilt title. Bookplate ffep. DJ has a large clear-taped chip bottom of front cover, some shelfwear along edges. Illustrated endpapers show maps of Northern and Southern England showing locations of old Public Schools. 112 pages with index.. Illus. by Photographs. 8vo - over 7¾ - 9¾" tall. Hardcover. Near Very Good/Good.

There is some foxing to the preliminary pages and the edges of the text block; overall, the book is in good to very good condition. The dustwrapper is in good condition (some chafing of the edges, some minor staining). The dustwrapper has now been put in a mylar cover to protect it.
