Edinburgh, Thomas Constable and Co. 1858 Hardcover, full leather binding with marbled endpapers. 385 pages with illustrations and coloured fold-out frontis of cross section of Old Red Sandstone of Scotland, England and Burn of Eathie. A Very Good copy nicely bound . This was a School prize book with the coat of arms of Leeds free Grammar school in gilt to the front cover. Enclosed are two obituaries of the author Hugh Miller- one typed. Previous owners name in pencil- Duncan Forbers 1940. Pictures available.
