Gollancz, 1971. 1971 First Edition. hardcover. 287pp, VG+ in VG+ dw, with tipped in signature of Tom Patey to the title page. This book was of course published posthomously so you will never find the actual book signed but this is the next best thing. Patey's signature is very scarce and this signature came directly from Tom Patey's collection of books. The book is also signed on the dedication page by John Cleare, a good friend of Patey's, who supplied numerous photographs for the book including the front of the dustwrapper, and by author and editor of the latest Tom Patey biography published in 2022, Mike Dixon and Deziree Wilson. The First Edition is now uncommon.. The climbs and writings of Patey the mountaineer and Scottish humourist, who climbed the Mustagh Tower and Rakaposhi..
