Sobre este artículo

London: Eyre and Spottiswoode, 1971 . First edition. Cloth. Fine/Near Fine. 8" by 5.5". None. A well presented first edition of this interesting work of fiction by novelist James Patrick Donleavy. First edition, in the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Written by American-Irish novelist James Patrick Donleavy, who is known for his short stories, plays and novels. He is best remembered for his novel 'The Ginger Man', which was initially banned for obscenity. 'The Onion Eaters' tells the interesting and chaotic story of a young American who inherits an Irish castle, complete with quirky servants and unique guests. Donleavy uses his own experiences from his American-Irish upbringing to influence the tale. In the publisher's original cloth binding, with the original, unclipped dust wrapper. Externally, lovely, with minor shelf wear only. Dust wrapper is excellent, with very light edge wear and slight sunning to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages bright and clean. Fine
