Sobre este artículo
Franklin Library. Franklin Center, PA. 1984. Red leather boards stamped in gold. GIlt lettering to spine and all edges gilt (AEG). Five raised bands with marbled endpapers and satin bookmark sewn-in. Limited First Edition privately printed for The Signed First Edition Society. Like new boards and leaves. Muriel Spark (1918-2006), was a Scottish novelist best known for her novel, The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie (1961). In The Only Problem the problem seems to be there is more than one problem; all of which involve Job-like suffering. The protagonist, rich middle-aged Harvey Gotham, left his wife Effie to write about the Biblical character Job. Recall, Holy Job was richly blessed but lost it all but stood the test for Job was steadfast in his misery. Leaving her, in part for stealing a bar of chocolate, led Harvey to conclude she was a bit wild. She, for some reason left all sanity and joined a terrorist organisation called FLE. To add to his suffering, Harvey loves her all the more. She, of course dies in the end but Harvey does (spoiler alert) finish his book on Job. 5.75x9.25 in. 177 pg.
