Amstelædami: Amstelaedami : Apud heredes Joannis Blaeu 1679, 1679. Books measure 40 x 26 cm. 3 volumes, bound in 4. Collation, [24],800pp, [67]pp, index, [4],668-1238pp, [173]pp, index, [2],775pp, [62]pp, index, titles printed in red and black, 1 full page portrait. Each volume has bookplate of [ Sir John Holt ] and inscribed '' Bequeathed by Canon William Munane '', each title page inscribed '' exlibris Munane ''. Sir John Hort (1731-1807), English consul-general at Lisbon in 1767. Canon William Murnane, Catholic priest in London, attended Roger Casement on the weeks before his death when he converted to Roman Catholicism.Bound in full period vellum, panelled boards, blind stamped center piece to each board, raised bands. Boards bumped on corners, hinge joints cracked, one joints more substantial cracked, with slighly lifting of vellum, boards sprung, light dust/dirt marking. Generally bindings in good condition. Internally, pages clean. A nice set, in attractive period bindings. . Full Vellum. Near Very Good. Folio - over 12" - 15" tall.

We are a long established company dealing in second-hand, out of print and antiquarian books on all subjects. We are based in Hertfordshire, just 2 miles north of Junction 25 of the M25. We are members of the PBFA and exhibit at a large number of their fairs across the UK. We also exhibit in London at least twice a month at the Russell and Royal National Hotels, and regularly exhibit at H&D fairs in the South East, we also organise a monthly Fair at the Royal National Hotel, this fair has exhibitors specialising in books, maps, prints and ephemera.
