Sobre este artículo
Kalamazoo, Michigan: Rarach Press, 1990. Full pictorial leather design binding by Jan Sobota. (10 1/2" x 11 1/2"). Limited numbered edition of 40 copies, this being number 15. Unpaginated; Suite of 9 etchings each signed, numbered and dated in pencil by Hanka, (plate size 5" x 7.25") with letterpress printed title page, introductory essay ("On the Metaphysics of Fly Fishing for Trout") and colophon. Typography and letterpress work by Amy Bollinger; Printed on Lana Gravure. Hanka's artist's statement states, "Suppressing the trout's naturally brilliant coloration, the oranges, blues and reds which otherwise would eclipse their graphic elegance, I instead explore the splendid variety of form and pattern evident in these fish, through the black and white medium of intaglio." SIGNED by Hanka on Colophon and on each plate; also SIGNED "bound by Jan Sobata, 1995" on colophon. Shows some light rubbing, remains a clean, tight copy of a scarce artist book in a design binding. Size: Oblong Quarto. Signed. Limited First Edition.. Leather. Near Fine. Illus. by Ladislav R. Hanka. Design Binding.
