Sobre este artículo
Boston: Atlantic Monthly/Little, Brown, 1950. Owen Lattimore (1900-1989), brother of classicist Richmond, was a respected scholar on China; he was accused by the deranged alcoholic Senator Joseph McCarthy of being the "top Russian espionage agent in the United States." No supporting evidence was ever found, with the exception of some faint praise regarding Stalin (who was an ally in the war just past). This is a Near Fine copy of his account of the "ordeal," the First American Edition (it was published in England two years later). Tan cloth binding with blue lettering on the spine and a decoration on the front cover. Clean text; 236 pages. Slightly cocked; else a Fine copy. The dustjacket shows some minor edgewear, with a short tear at the head of the spine edge. In an archival plastic protector. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall. First Edition.. Hard Cover. Near Fine/Very Good Plus.
