Sobre este artículo
New York: Fleming H. Revell Company, 1919. First Edition. Hardcover. Very good. Written by a Korean-American, and published shortly after the conception of the League of Nations and the approval of the Treaty of Peace with Germany, a time when it was essential for the United States to "determine its Oriental policy". The work deals with the opening of the East (Japan, China and Korea); China in the 20th Century; the American rivalry with Japan; the Langsing-Ishii Agreement; present policies and opportunities; and much information and historical facts heretofore suppressed by Japan. The "Documents in the Case" chapter is a collection of important Alliances and Agreements that were drawn in the course of Japanese Imperial expansion, such as The Anglo Japanese Alliances, 21 Demands, etc. Octavo: 306 p. with a frontispiece and 4 maps. Original burgundy cloth binding, with decorative blind stamping and gilt titles. Period ink inscription ("To my friend Mr. Lloyd from Louis Hong") on the front flyleaf. The spine is a touch sun faded, with some light bumping to the corners and tips; otherwise very good.
