First edition in a second issue dust jacket, with the title font reduced to better fit the spine (the difference between the two jackets is perhaps most easily measured in the height of the spine title: first state measures 1-5/8 inches in height while the second state measures 1-3/8 inches). Sol Yurick was the author of 'The Warriors' published in 1965 and later made into a movie of the same name. Inscribed by the author on front free endpaper: 'For Sol and Adrienne (Yurick), who kept the last channels open, the wise counsel flowing, the spirit from flagging and the homefires burning throughout this arduous expatriate first vision experience, this first first copy in gratitude, homage and affection. Bob.' Sol Yurick wrote a blurb that appears on the flyleaf. Nice association copy. First edition (first printing). A very good copy in a very good (second state) dust jacket. Slight darkening to bottom of spine and inside of dust jacket. Edge wear to dust jacket.
